Pansar Kuching Branch Conducts Mercury Outboard Engine Training for Sarawak Coast Guard

On 29 April 2025, Pansar Kuching Branch conducted a Mercury Outboard Engine Training session at our office and workshop. Approximately 15 participants attended the session, including personnel from the Sarawak Coast Guard as well as our in-house technicians. This training aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding and readiness in the operating and maintaining Mercury marine engines.

The training focused on the Mercury 350HP Verado outboard engine, a high-performance model known for its compact supercharged design. Our Product Specialist, Mr. Christie Roger, guided participants through the engine’s features, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Following the briefing and technical explanation at our office, we awarded a certificate of participation to the Sarawak Coast Guard, and then took a group photo. The participants then moved to the workshop for a hands-on session with the engine, enhancing their understanding through practical experience.

We are dedicated to sharing knowledge and providing support to our partners in operating and maintaining the solutions they depend on. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and Goal 14: Life Below Water, which emphasize the importance of education, encouraging innovation, and promoting the responsible use of marine resources.
