23 to 26 July 2026, Pansar Miri brought our Mercury roadshow momentum straight to the Marudi Waterfront for the four-day Baram Regatta 2026. Set along the bustling riverbanks, our booth connected visitors directly with our sales and service team to explore marine and agricultural solutions firsthand.
Representing Pansar at the event was a dedicated team led by Mr Tiong Young Pink, Pansar Miri Branch Manager; Mr Daniel Chong Ching Yuang, Sales Executive; Mdm Kong Siok Fang, Sales Executive; Mr Eddy Laing Bin Wilson, Technician; Mr Stanley James, Technician; alongside Ms Mimi Ling Siew Kiong, Building and Construction Materials Sales Executive; and Mr Brandon Ting Chung Ik, Agro Engineering Sales Executive. They were also joined by supporting figures who traveled from Head Office, including Mr Tiong King Kiong, Product Manager from the Agriculture Division, and Mr Desmond Ngu Wei Bin, Marine and Industrial Division Product Executive. Throughout the event, our sales and technical team engaged directly with attendees, providing technical consultations, maintenance advice, and hands-on equipment walkthroughs.
The roadshow booth featured an impressive showcase of Mercury outboard engines, including 3.3, 5, 9.9, 15, 30, 40, and 50 horsepower 2-Stroke models, displayed together with our trusted Pansar Agro products such as Vista 15, Prima 15, Anduron 80 WP, Bakaron 135, Scharfe Sprayer, and Leili products. Visitors took the opportunity to examine the equipment closely, discuss specific technical requirements with our staff, and pick up exclusive Mercury brand merchandise. Beyond our booth activities, our sales team also took the initiative to explore the local market in Marudi, visiting nearby hardware shops to introduce Mercury lubricants directly to retailers and gain a deeper, firsthand understanding of regional market needs.
Across the four days, our booth recorded an estimated footfall of 800 to 1,000 visitors. Total sales performance for the event reached a grand total of RM21,987, which was broken down into RM17,491 from the Marine & Industrial Division, RM4,101 from the Agro Engineering Division, and RM395 from Mercury T-shirt merchandise sales. Additionally, 2 free Mercury caps and 2 free Mercury T-shirts were given out as brand merchandise.
The event logged a comprehensive list of visitors and potential customers across both divisions. The Agro Engineering Division recorded 34 logged visitors and enquiries ranging from equipment purchases like electric sprayers, power sprayers, and various herbicides to general product browsing. Meanwhile, the Marine & Industrial Division recorded 33 logged visitors and enquiries covering specific outboard model interests such as the 3.3HP, 15HP, 30HP, 40HP, and 50HP engines, gear lubricants, and direct outboard purchases.
Participating in the Baram Regatta gave our team a great platform to interact directly with local river users and community members. These face-to-face exchanges allowed us to better understand regional needs while reinforcing Pansar’s ongoing commitment to supporting Sarawak’s waterways and agriculture.
This successful outing aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting local market activity, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by introducing reliable modern technology, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by building meaningful relationships with regional communities and partners.
