30 November 2025, Pansar enhanced the green landscape of the Batu Kawah Riverbank Park by planting a total of 345 trees and flowering plants in collaboration with the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP). We continued our green partnership through this programme, marking the second year of collaboration following the success of last year’s initiative.
A total of 345 trees and flowering plants were planted to enhance the greenery, biodiversity, and scenic value of the Batu Kawah riverfront. The event brought together 80 participants from Pansar alongside MPP councillors, officers, and volunteers, reflecting strong support from both the public and private sectors for environmental stewardship and community well-being. The programme was officiated by MPP Chairman, CR Tan Kai, followed by Mr Keith Kong, Pansar’s Business Development Manager.
The programme highlighted Pansar’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability. For this year’s tree planting, we introduced a stainless-steel Tree Planting Sign featuring the message “Together We Plant the Future” and the logos of Pansar and MPP. It is positioned at the designated planting area and serves as a long-term marker of the initiative, guiding the site while symbolising the shared commitment between us and MPP to support environmental stewardship.
CR Tan Kai noted that the initiative enriches the greenery, beauty, and biodiversity along the Batu Kawah riverfront. He added that such programmes promote environmental awareness, strengthen community engagement, and reinforce the shared responsibility to preserve natural spaces for present and future generations.
Mr Keith Kong, Pansar Business Development Manager, highlighted that each tree planted represents a step towards a healthier and more sustainable environment. He noted that the programme reflects our commitment to ensuring that Pansar’s efforts continue to reach and benefit communities nationwide.
Since the beginning of our tree-planting initiative last year, we have planted more than 3,000 trees across Sarawak, Sabah, and Peninsular Malaysia. This complements our broader sustainability initiatives, including our ongoing plastic recycling project and the recent launch of a 60 kW DC EV charger at The Spring Mall.
Through these efforts, Pansar supports the Sustainable Development Goals and is committed to achieving them. Through continuous collaboration and community-based environmental initiatives, we aim to create greener, healthier, and more sustainable spaces for future generations.
