Yanmar Japan Collaborates With Pansar To Set Up Genset Assembly Plant

Kuala Lumpur – “We have confidence in Malaysia professes Mr. Takehito Yamaoka, President of Yanmar Company Limited, Japan during his recent visit to Kuala Lumpur. Yanmar, a global leader in diesel technology joined hands with Pansar, their Malaysian distributor to set up this assembly plant for portable air-cooled diesel generators in Malaysia.

Malaysia was chosen amongst other ASEAN countries for its political stability, friendly economic policies and its engineering-based educated workforce, added Mr. Yamaoka.

The result is an export quality, epoxy-coated finished product that can withstand the glare and standards of international market. Presently, three generator models are available in the range of 2 to 5kVA to complement the existing Yanmar models from Japan. That is not all. Mr. Kenji Fujii, Managing Director of Yanmar Singapore said that This coupling project shall be a prelude to an immediate wide range of value-added products including portable pumpsets, welders, canopy type silent gensets and to roll off within the first quarter of 2004. He adds these and eventual products shall be under the license of Yanmar, all with export intent.

The new setup employs prominent state-of-the-art manufacturing facility including a Robotic welder. Quality assurance has been upheld as explained by Mr. Jason Tai, adhering to no compromise in Yanmar quality standards as a basis and a strong requirement. Complementing this is the online production tracking system to which future warranty and bill of material can be monitored anywhere on the globe.
