| We recently supplied five units of Grundfos KPL water pump to a client in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan who was impressed with how the pump could help mitigate its water problem in its project site.
The first testing and commissioning of the pump was carried out from March 24 to April 2 by our team with the specialist support from Grundfos Korea. And here is why our client sought our help. The client’s plantation site is located in a low land and thus, when it comes to rainy season, the river water from the upstream would flow down to the site, causing it be stagnant with water. The presence of sea water during high tide further aggravated the situation. During dry season however, the plantation site would experience low water level and cause moisture stress in the soil which will further depress the growth and yields of oil palms. Hence, the water management is needed to maintain suitable soil moisture as well as daily water supply for the households and factory. With the water pump now up and running in mitigating the problem, our client could now heave a big sigh of relief.
