9 April 2026, Pansar was invited to participate in the River Safety Awareness Program and Customer Day 2026 held at Terminal Bako, Kuching. The event, organized by the Sarawak Rivers Board, brought together various government agencies, including the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, and the Marine Department Malaysia (Sarawak Region), along with private sector participants, including Pansar and Zurich Insurance, to promote river safety awareness while strengthening engagement with the local community.
The program began in the morning with the opening of customer service counters, allowing visitors to engage directly with participating agencies and learn more about river safety, services, and related initiatives. Pansar showcased the Mercury Two Stroke 40HP Outboard Engine, demonstrating reliable performance and suitability for local river transport needs, including ferrying tourists to destinations such as Bako National Park.
The official ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr. Haji Hazland bin Haji Abang Hipni, Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Sarawak. The programme began with the singing of the national anthem, “Negaraku”, and the Sarawak State anthem, “Ibu Pertiwiku”, followed by a “doa” recitation, opening speeches, the officiating ceremony, and the presentation of safety equipment and certificates of appreciation to participating organizations. Mr. Daniel Wong (Marine and Industrial Division Sales Engineer) represented Pansar in receiving the certificate. The session concluded with a big group photo involving invited guests, members of the community, and Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr. Haji Hazland bin Haji Abang Hipni.
At the exhibition area, the Pansar service counter attracted visitors interested in purchasing Mercury outboard engines. The team engaged with customers by sharing product insights and providing guidance on selecting suitable outboard engines based on operational needs. This interaction allowed Pansar to strengthen presence while building closer relationships with the community and industry stakeholders. Our team also took a group photo with the Sarawak Rivers Board Management Team before the event ends.
The event marked a successful and meaningful programme. Participation in this initiative reflected continued support for safety awareness efforts and commitment to contributing to the development of reliable and efficient river transportation solutions. Pansar supports the Sustainable Development Goals and is committed to achieving them, particularly SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being, SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals.
