JKR Sarawak One Month Pledge Signing: Facility Management & Maintenance (FMM) Contract for Borneo Cultures Museum

12 June 2024, Pansar Kuching is pleased to announce the triumphant securing of the first Facility Management and Maintenance (FMM) contract under JKR Sarawak. This significant accomplishment was achieved by Pansar’s wholly owned subsidiary, Pansar Engineering Services Sdn Bhd.

The signing of the Contractor’s One Month Deliverable Pledge was witnessed by Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. Dr. Cassidy Anak Morris, Director of the Public Works Department, at JKR Sarawak Headquarters. The project is for Facility Management and Maintenance (FMM) for the Borneo Cultures Museum and Annex Building at the Sarawak Museum Complex, Kuching, Sarawak.

This is a significant milestone as it marks the first Facilities Management and Maintenance contract implemented by the State, adopting the federal PWD Facilities Management and Maintenance 2016 Form of Contract. This performance-based contract includes clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This project will pioneer all future State FMM projects, aiming to enhance the efficiency and quality of service delivery.

The 39-month contract commenced on 27 May 2024 and will be completed on 26 August 2027, ensuring long-term, reliable maintenance and management services for the Borneo Cultures Museum and its annex.

Representing JKR at the signing session were Ir. Ts. Chang Kueh Chin, Deputy Director (Asset Sector), Ts. Hj. Mohammad Saifrol bin Sheikh Naimullah, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Building Asset Branch), and other senior officers from JKR Sarawak. The delegation from Pansar included Mr. James Ling, Director of Pansar Berhad, Mr. Eric Phan, General Manager of Pansar Engineering, Ts. Chai Yu Kiong, Engineering Manager, Mr. Jong Kong Lip, Facilities Manager, Ms. Freda Bandi, Civil Engineer, and Ms. Nur Shuhada, CMMS Admin.

In conclusion, this landmark achievement not only strengthens Pansar’s position in the facilities management sector but also sets a new standard for future regional projects.
