Insulation is a building material that is used to reduce transferring of heat, radiation, sound and vibration by providing a barrier between two areas. It is usually used as underlayer for roofing, in-fill for walling, basement of the machines to reduce the impact to the ground from vibration, and pipe insulation to reduce heat loss for industries.
