KUCHING: World renowned marine diesel engine brand Yanmar shared its large marine diesel engine products in a seminar jointly organized with Pansar here last Wednesday.
One of the products introduced to the more than 30 participants, whom included some of the major oil and gas and shipping industry players in the country, was EY-33 with an output of up to 6,000 horsepower.
The seminar, presented by Yanmar’s marine engine senior designer Masaru Hirose also introduced the brand’s state-of-the-art and yet to be launched gas marine engine which is environmentally friendly.
Pansar’s chief operating officer Stephen Chin and Yanmar Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd’s marketing senior manager Ichiro Fuwa made a brief introduction of their respective company to all the participants during the seminar which was also attended by Pansar managing director Jason Tai.
Pansar is the distributor for Yanmar marine engine products in the country.
It is entrusted by the Japanese brand to do the testing and monitoring for all its products in the local market.
Apart from testing and monitoring, Pansar also has the technical expertise and experience to ensure the products are designed to meet the local condition.
Meanwhile, the participants also took part in the Pansar-Yanmar Golf Invitational 2014 which was held at Damai Golf and Country Club.
Tai said the golf event, organized by Pansar in collaboration with Yanmar, would be an annual event following its success this year.
He later presented the prizes to the winners together with Hirose.
