Pansar Kuching Branch Annual Dinner 2025 Celebrates Achievements and Recognitions

11 January 2025, Pansar Kuching branch hosted its Annual Dinner at Rooftop Seafood Shangri-La, CityOne Mall, bringing together staff and management for an evening of appreciation and celebration. The event began with a welcome speech by Mr. David Tai (Pansar Group Chief Operating Officer), followed by an opening speech by Mr. Felix Chiam (Pansar Kuching Branch Manager), setting an uplifting tone for the evening.

After that, attendees enjoyed a buffet dinner accompanied by singing performances by Mr. Deebleham and Mr. James Wong, who also served as the evening’s emcees, adding to the festive atmosphere. A photobooth was available for participants to capture joyful moments with colleagues and create lasting memories of the night.

The evening featured a company slideshow introduction by Mr. Eric Phan (General Manager of Pansar Engineering Service). He shared insights into the Pansar’s formation, starting from a humble beginning and grown until its current stage comprising of various different business units and companies each bringing expertise from distinct fields.

Mr. Eric also introduced Pansar Berhad and elaborated on the range of services offered, giving new staff a clearer understanding of the organization’s background and mission. This segment strengthened the sense of connection among both new and longstanding staff members.

A key highlight of the evening was the Award Presentation. Long-service plaques were presented to staff with more than 5 years of service, recognizing their dedication and contributions. The award presentation began with the retirement awards, honoring Mdm. Felicia Liu Chai Hua with a crystal trophy and an air fryer to commemorate her 24 years of service. Mr. Philip Thou and Mr. Tay Hock Hua were each presented with a plaque and an air purifier in recognition of their over 30 years of dedication. Mdm. Maria Anak Lingga received a plaque and a rice cooker for her more than 20 years of contributions, while Mr. Eddy William Ak Dugal was gifted a plaque and a vacuum cleaner in appreciation of his over 20 years of service. Staff who had served more than 20 years received a plaque and a gift, while those with more than 5 years of service were awarded a plaque and a certificate.

Additionally, the Top 5 Performance-Based Awards were presented to outstanding employees, with recipients receiving a star trophy and a certificate. This recognition included staff from both Pansar Company and Pansar Engineering Service for their exceptional achievements. The evening also featured two categories of peer-nominated awards: the Value-Based Recognition Awards and the Fun and Lighthearted Awards. The Value-Based Recognition Awards honored employees who best embodied the company’s core values, while the Fun and Lighthearted Awards celebrated individuals for their unique and engaging qualities. Both award categories were nominated by Pansar staff through a Google form, with winners receiving a “Thumbs Up” trophy and a certificate in recognition of their contributions.

The Lucky Draw segment brought extra excitement, featuring grand prizes such as Chinese New Year hampers, along with smaller gifts for lucky staff members. A digital spin wheel ensured a fair and engaging selection process, keeping the energy high throughout the evening.

As the night progressed, attendees enjoyed a lively session of singing and dancing, creating unforgettable memories. The event concluded with a closing speech by the management and a group photo session, marking the end of a joyful and meaningful celebration. This evening of appreciation and recognition set a positive tone for the Pansar Kuching Branch as it looks forward to a promising and successful year ahead.
