Pansar HQ Sibu Chinese New Year Dinner 2026 Marks a Night of Fun and Recognition

12 February 2026, Pansar HQ Sibu Chinese New Year Dinner was held at Tanahmas Hotel, bringing together 190 staff members from various departments and branches for an evening of celebration and connection. The theme for this year was “Blue Ocean.” Pansar staff embraced the dress code in shades of blue, green, and silver, complemented by creative aquatic accessories. A number of male staff showcased styles such as modern sailors and captains, while several female staff appeared as sailor girls and mermaids, adding to the lively and cohesive ocean-inspired atmosphere.

The evening began with a group photo session, bringing together staff and management to capture the spirit of unity and celebration at the start of the event. This was followed by a welcoming toast led by the emcees, Mr Micheal Wong Tai Yun (Agro Engineering Division, Product Executive), Ms Bennie Ting Siew Yin (Information System, Programmer), and Mr Desmond Ngu Wei Bin (Marine and Industrial Division, Product Executive). Staff then enjoyed a delightful dinner while mingling with colleagues and leaders from different branches, strengthening relationships in a relaxed setting. Many also took the opportunity to capture personal photos with the management team, reflecting the close rapport between staff and leadership.

The night was filled with a series of engaging activities. The fun games session featured table games such as “Origami Boat” and individual games like “Loa Shang”, with a variety of attractive prizes for the winners. A meaningful highlight of the evening was the presentation of Long-Service Awards, recognizing a total of 54 dedicated staff for their years of commitment to Pansar. Among them, 22 recipients attended the dinner to receive their awards in person. The long-service recognition ranged from 10 to 50 years of service, reflecting decades of loyalty, perseverance, and valuable contributions to the company’s growth. In addition, 6 retirees who retired between January 2025 and February 2026 were also recognized and appreciated during the event for their dedicated services and lasting impact on the organization. These plaques symbolized our sincere gratitude for their longstanding commitment and invaluable contributions to the Pansar family.

The celebration also recognized the Pansar Young Rising Stars from across the Sarawak and Sabah branches, with a total of 11 recipients, of whom 10 attended the dinner. During the presentation, each recipient briefly introduced themselves and shared what they enjoy about working at Pansar, and all received certificates in recognition of their achievements.

The lucky draw session included 90 prizes, with some sponsored by suppliers and business partners, featuring top prizes such as a Panasonic inverter air conditioner, a Midea inverter air conditioner, and a Mova vacuum, alongside other prizes like a vacuum cleaner, robot vacuum, air cooler, smart watch, and hampers. Adding to the excitement of the evening, a lively dance performance was presented through the initiative and dedicated efforts of the staff themselves, bringing extra energy and fun to the celebration. The atmosphere was further elevated when our Chairman, Dato James delighted the crowd by singing two songs, one in English and one in Japanese, earning enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience.

In addition to these exciting highlights, the Best Costume awards were presented to Mr Wong Kiong Chiu (Male) and Ms Sui Tuong Ming (Female), each receiving a smart watch and RM250 in cash in recognition of their creativity and festive spirit. The Angpao session further enhanced the celebratory atmosphere as Dato James personally walked from table to table to greet each staff member and present the angpao, creating warm interactions and heartfelt moments throughout the hall.

Through this Chinese New Year Dinner, we strengthened our bonds across branches and generations of staff, reaffirming our shared commitment to continue growing together as one Pansar as we move forward with our slogan, “Going Beyond Always.” This memorable evening not only celebrated achievements but also inspired everyone to embrace new opportunities and continue driving Pansar toward greater success.
