Pansar Engineering Highlights Sustainable Solutions at Sarawak Facility Management Industry Engagement (FMIE) Day 2025

4 September 2025, Pansar Engineering participated in the Sarawak Facility Management Industry Engagement (FMIE) Day 2025 at Raia Hotel, Kuching, an event themed “Sarawak Leads: The Future of Sustainable Facility Management Starts Here.”

The event brought together more than 450 participants, including industry players, government representatives, and professional bodies such as the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM), and the Royal Institute of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). FMIE 2025 served as a key platform for knowledge sharing and professional development.

Mr. Eric Phan Tze Wei, General Manager of Pansar Engineering, was invited as one of the panelists to share insights on advancing sustainable facility management practices and strengthening industry collaboration. His participation highlighted Pansar Engineering’s role in supporting the state’s vision of structured governance, human capital development, and innovative approaches to facility management.

He emphasized the importance of sustainable facility management, supported by tools such as the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and showcased how safety practices like toolbox briefings and proactive upkeep activities contribute to efficiency and long-term resilience. Pansar Engineering’s work at the Borneo Cultures Museum, was also highlighted as an example of applying sustainable solutions in facility management.

In addition, Pansar Engineering’s team comprising Mr. Chai Yu Kiong (Engineering Manager), Mr. Ahmad Mustaqim (Facility Manager), Mr. Zulhusni (Mechanical Engineer), and Mr. Elvin (Civil Engineer) also attended the event. They joined the talks and engaged with participants while exploring the exhibition area to gain market insights and industry updates.

Pansar supports the Sustainable Development Goals and is committed to achieving them. Our participation as a panelist at FMIE 2025 reflected this commitment, where we emphasized SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through innovative facility management approaches, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by contributing to discussions on building safer and more sustainable environments, and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by highlighting the importance of strategies that reduce environmental impact in facility operations.
