Pansar declares dividend of two sen per ordinary share at AGM

SIBU: Pansar Bhd (Pansar) has declared a dividend of two sen per ordinary share consisting of franked dividend of one sen per ordinary share less 25 per cent tax and single tier dividend of one sen per ordinary share, after posting turnover of RM 399.1 million, gross profit of RM 56.1 million, after tax profit of RM 15.8 million, and earnings per share of 5.64 sen for its financial year ended 31 March 2012.

At the company’s 38th Annual General Meeting held yesterday at Tanahmas Hotel, chairman Dato James Tai Cheong said with the company being prudent and conservative in its financial management, performance for the year was creditable in the context of the challenging global and domestic market environment.

He added that Pansar was putting in place further measures to strengthen its competitiveness and profitability to withstand the anticipated pressures of the coming year. Pansar managing director Jason Tai Hee and chief operating officer Stephen Chin Yun Chieh were also present.

“Pansar is a solutions-driven trading and engineering company with a strong 50-year track record centred on established world-renowned brands and backed by people with strong values, diverse experience and proven expertise,” he said.

James said this added unmatched value to the innovative solutions it designed, installed, commissioned and maintained for its diverse customer base.

Pansar customers include airports, hospitals, industrial complexes, oil and gas companies, power utility companies, shopping malls, universities, large commercial and residential buildings, and others in Malaysia and beyond.

The company is listed under the stock code ‘PANSAR’ (8419) in the ‘Trading and Services’ section on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.
