September 26, 2014

KUCHING: SK St Teresa has every reason to cheer now that the school’s multi-purpose hall is being re-roofed.

Come rain or shine, it will not hamper any activities to be carried inside the school hall, thanks to both NS BlueScope Lysaght (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd and Pansar Berhad which jointly sponsored the –reroofing project.

A simple ceremony to unveil the new roofing was held at the school here yesterday in conjunction with the school’s Malaysia Day celebration.

Chief operating officer of Pansar Stephen Chin said the joint sponsorship was both companies’ commitment towards building safe school structures.

“With the re-roofing ceremony, the pupils and staff members of the school will get a new modern, top rating facelift of the school roof,” said Chin, who is also a director of NS BlueScope Lysaght (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd.

In expressing her gratitude, President of NS BlueScope Lysaght (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd Lydia Toh said the sponsorship showed a long standing relationship between both companies and the school.

“We celebrate a major milestone with SK St Teresa as we are not only proud to have a long standing relationship with the school, but we are proud to have provided new high quality roofs for the multi-purpose hall,” she said.
