On 25 May 2024, Pansar Staff Club Sibu collaborated with SEGI University to hold the second annual “Hiking Escapade” at Bukit Kemuyang, Sibu. This year, the event featured a Jungle Trekking task and a Trek Clean-Up activity, attracting a total of 65 participants.
Adventurous hikers from Pansar teamed up with the energetic members of SEGI University, aiming to conquer the hiking trail while embracing both its challenges and pleasures.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Professor Raili, the Dean of SEGI University. After the speech, Professor Raili flagged off the hike to start the adventure. Unfortunately, shortly after the flag-off, it began to rain, adding an extra layer of challenge for the participants. As they traversed the trail surrounded by beautiful greenery, the tough hike tested their endurance, but everyone persevered with smiles and determination.
In addition to hiking, participants engaged in Jungle Trekking and joined efforts to clean up the trail, ensuring Bukit Kemuyang remained pristine.
Upon completing the hike, participants enjoyed refreshments and participated in a lucky draw, providing a relaxing conclusion to their journey. Lucky draw winners included Ms. Jessica Ling Suk Jen, Mr. Paul Ak Ayun, Mr Ling Hang Wee, Mr. Johnny Tang, Mr. Chuo Sin Yiing, Mr. Sam Ngoo, and Mr. Collin John Narang.
With the successful completion of this event, we invite everyone to step out of their comfort zones and join us for future hiking adventures. Let’s continue exploring nature, pushing our limits, and contributing to the beauty of our surrounding.
