KUALA LUMPUR – Natural Resources and Environment Minister YB Datuk Douglas Uggah Embas was clearly impressed by our rainbank eco solutions at the International Rainwater Catchments System Conference recently.
PANSAR & DAVEY were showcasing eco friendly products such as Davey Rainbank, Aquashield and Acquasafe other than our wide range of filtration and purification products.
After he was briefed by our team comprising of Ling Mee Hung, Wylie McGinnes, Moses Ting and Ong Kian Kuang, the Minister praised PANSAR and Davey for its environmentally sustainable products.
He also instructed the Director of National Hydraulic Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM), Ir. Ahmad Jamalluddin Shaaban to look deeper into the Rainbank system and consider having it installed at NAHRIM.
Datuk Douglas also stressed that the Government was very receptive to “green” soultions and hoped that our continued alliance with Davey would result in more environmentally sustainable solutions for the country and the world in general.
Though this was the first time PANSAR participated in the International Rainwater Catchment Systems Conference, we were able to impress not only the Minister and relevant Government officials but the more than 200 participants from around the world.
This year, Malaysia hosted the event with the theme “Rainwater Harvesting to Cope with Climate Change” and our eco solutions tied in perfectly with the issue on hand.
The conference provided a platform for a network of professionals, practitioners and researchers from all over the world to interact, share and discuss their experiences and knowledge. It also enabled them to discuss recent issues and address the importance of rainwater harvesting.
The International Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (IRCSA) supports research activities from grass root to policy making levels in the promotion and implementation of rainwater harvesting.
