31st July 2024, Pansar Staff Club hosted a special demo of our innovative plastic coaster project at the Parts Service Depot in Sungai Antu, Sibu. This demo welcomed three distinguished representatives from Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) Sustainability Department, including Ms. Nursuliza Syairah Rosdi, Senior Executive for Sustainability Reporting and Standards; Ms. Farah Dalila Khalid, Senior Executive for Sustainability Strategy; and Mr. Mohd Zaid Rosdi, Senior Executive for Safety, Technical, and Environment.
The demo aimed to provide insights into Pansar’s ongoing efforts in plastic recycling, a project that has been active since August 2023. The initiative focuses on transforming plastic bottles, sourced from both staff and business partners, into unique coasters. The process includes selecting suitable plastic bottles, thoroughly cleaning and shredding them, and finally molding them into coasters, each distinct in design.
Pansar encourages staff members to continue supporting this effort by participating in the plastic bottle collection initiative in our offices. This project also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by promoting recycling and reducing waste. Pansar supports the SDGs and is committed to achieving them as part of our strategic direction. Together, we contribute to a more sustainable future and make a meaningful impact on our community.
